Meet Our Pastor

Scott Akin

Pastor Scott Akin served in the U.S. Military for 25 years. He also served as an educator in the public school system and at Ft. Knox High School. In 2012 Scott received the call to full-time ministry. Over the next several years he served in surrounding churches in capacities such as Sunday School teacher and Pastor of Discipleship, all while praying to answer the call God placed on his life to Pastor a church.

Scott came to Round Top Baptist Church, in a view of a call at the start of the 2020 pandemic, Covid-19, preaching and serving in creative and unconventional ways while churches around our nation were shut down. Through fervent prayer and trust in God, the church officially voted Scott in as Pastor at Round Top Baptist Church on May 24, 2020.

He, along with his wife, Julia, seek to serve God and others through ministry within our church and community, scripture study, and prayer.

Scott and Julia have five children, Timothy, Mason, Elijah, Sophia, and Logan.
